The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues

YAA is accredited as a ‘School of Character’  due to our focus on excellence in developing good character and virtues within students to bring to society. Values such as Respect, Determination, Intergrity, Collaboration and Innovation are intergrated into our academic curriculum, equipping students with the traits to succeed and become responsible global citizens.

Yas American Academy is on a journey to become recognised as a school of character, developing a set of specific values to support our learning community. Using the ‘West Yas Way’ as our guiding principle, we look to develop values and virtues which develop students holistically, and provide them with skills and characteristics to enhance their ability to become leaders of our future generation. These values have been integrated into our curriculum, and the character traits we have focused on have already developed students to take accountability for facets that make them unique. Traits such as Integrity, Resilience, Reliability, Perseverance and Compassion have been brought to life through direct links with academic studies and our extensive pastoral provision to provide all students with an opportunity to develop and consolidate these skills.
